BioBrick_BASIC_tTDH1 Biology This part is the yeast terminator tTDH1. This was derived from the MoClo Yeast Tool Kit, which in turn was derived from cloning the 225bp downstream of six of the most expressed yeast genes in a whole genome gene expression analysis. We therefore expect this to be an efficient terminator. Usage We have adapted this part by removing MoClo related sequences and instead adding in the BioBrick prefix and suffix followed by the BASIC prefix and suffix. Creating a yeast terminator that is compatible with both the BioBrick and BASIC format. This will suit any projects carrying out synthetic biology in yeast who hope to make use of either BioBrick or BASIC assembly. Characterisation Due to the Covid pandemic characterisation and utilisation of this part was not possible, but tTDH1 is well characterised in https://doi.org/10.1021/sb500366v. However, we have modified this part by the addition of BioBrick and BASIC prefixes and suffixes, so there may be some differences in efficiency compared to the MoClo YTK characterisation.
